“Blessed Are the Bridge Builders. For a Conviviality of Differences” 2017 Edition.

Molte Fedi sotto lo stesso cielo is a series of events promoted by ACLI (Christian Associations of Italian Workers), under the patronage of the UNESCO Chair for Religious Pluralism and Peace, the University of Bergamo, the Province and Municipality of Bergamo, in collaboration with the Territorial School Office of Bergamo and several local groups and associations.

“The aim of the program is to learn an alphabet of cultures and religions that will prepare us to face, with responsibility and discernment, the epochal challenge of a plural world that we will inevitably be called to live in, in the not-too-distant future.
Our belief is that in order to live—and not merely endure—the ongoing transformations, we must, on one hand, deepen our understanding not only of Christianity but also of ‘other’ religions, striving to avoid recurring prejudices and simplistic superficialities; and on the other hand, educate ourselves patiently in intercultural and interreligious dialogue and exchange.”

A civic commitment to building “middle grounds” capable of fostering a culture of inclusion.

“Our proposal is ambitious because it not only includes high-profile meetings and dialogues with key figures of our time, but also, in parallel, historical-artistic pathways, readings of sacred texts from the world’s major religious traditions, music listening sessions, theatre performances, walking itineraries, guided tours, in-depth seminars, training programs for youth and schools, and moments of prayer with various religious communities present in Bergamo.”

The tenth edition is titled “Blessed Are the Bridge Builders” to give voice and recognition to those who, in times like these, know how to open pathways and build bridges.
