Fondazione Pesenti supported Egyptian women entrepreneurs through the Al Tadamun Microfinance Program, the largest microcredit initiative aimed at women entrepreneurs running small and medium-sized enterprises in Egypt.
The program was launched as an initiative of the WHIA (Women’s Health Improvement Association) and Save the Children/USA – Egypt Field Office. The program’s goals include:
- Providing financial tools and services to support female micro-entrepreneurship;
- Strengthening institutional capacity to deliver credit services as a sustainable and effective way to reduce poverty;
- Transferring knowledge and technical assistance to microfinance operators.
