In 2024, Fondazione Pesenti Ets marked the 20th anniversary of its establishment.
It was established in November 2004 in Bergamo as an autonomous and independent organization under the name Fondazione Cav. Lav. Carlo Pesenti, in memory of one of the leading entrepreneurial figures of twentieth-century Italy.
In November 2022, Fondazione Pesenti was officially recognized as an Ente del Terzo Settore (Third Sector Entity) and registered in the national ETS register. Reaching this important milestone has opened new and meaningful opportunities for the Foundation, enabling it to further expand its activities in line with its statutory purpose and mission
Today, its mission is to foster the cultural, civic, and gender development of younger generations through education and the promotion of entrepreneurial initiatives with social impact.
Over the past twenty years, the Foundation has distributed more than €20 million and carried out over 500 initiatives across 34 countries, including 40 interventions in response to global emergencies. Yet the true measure of its work lies in its daily commitment, its close connection to local communities, and the many initiatives dedicated to young people, who are increasingly at the heart of its activities.
On 27 November 2004, inspired by the vision of Engineer Giampiero Pesenti, Fondazione Cav. Lav. Carlo Pesenti was established. The history of Fondazione Pesenti ETS is defined by an international outlook rooted firmly in the Bergamo area. Over these twenty years, the story of a family has become ever more deeply intertwined with the story of a territory — and, together with it, the wider world.
The Foundation has consistently placed young people’s growth and education at the centre of its work, giving rise to numerous projects aimed at enhancing human capital, improving access to knowledge, and promoting scientific and technological research. Its many initiatives range from scholarships and applied research projects to long-standing collaborations with universities in Italy and abroad
Fondazione Pesenti has also given voice to the major issues shaping contemporary society through conferences involving Nobel Prize winners, entrepreneurs, bankers, academics, and political leaders — anticipating trends while maintaining a strong focus on innovation, economics, and sustainable development. A continuous commitment dedicated to fostering new ideas and perspectives.
The Foundation supports charitable and philanthropic initiatives for humanitarian projects at both national and international level, addressing the most urgent social and humanitarian challenges through concrete action and partnerships with organizations working every day alongside the most vulnerable communities. These collaborations generate projects with significant social impact.
Fondazione Pesenti Ets promotes and supports cultural, artistic, and recreational initiatives that represent an invaluable contribution to the growth and vitality of local communities. It is in this spirit that Fondazione Pesenti ETS and Italmobiliare support gres art 671 – a space dedicated to exhibitions, installations, and events.
