The 2024/25 academic year of the International Heart School Foundation has officially begun. This program will allow 8 doctors from developing countries to enhance their training through a second-level Master’s degree in Cardiology and Techniques Applied to Cardiac Surgery.
Since 1989, the school has welcomed over 400 students from more than 50 developing countries. This year’s participants come from Georgia, Kazakhstan, Somalia, and Zambia, and include 4 pediatric cardiologists, 2 cardiologists, 1 cardiac surgeon, and 1 anesthesiologist.
Once again, the Pesenti Foundation is a key partner in this project, which enables medical graduates to refine their surgical knowledge and practice advanced techniques that they would not have access to in their home countries.
