Intercultura project “A scuola in Europa”

Fondazione Pesenti supports the Intercultura project “A scuola in Europa”: a concrete gesture of care and support for younger generations, continuing the Foundation’s long-standing commitment to this cause.

Ahead of the students’ departure, a ceremony was held at UniCredit to present the certificates confirming the award of a scholarship for the “A scuola in Europa” program, which allows recipients to spend one school term abroad with Intercultura. The winners are students from technical and vocational institutes in the regions of Campania, Lombardy, and Piedmont. Notably, five of the students are from Campania, highlighting the successful synergy with Caffè Borbone (part of Italmobiliare), which has worked to raise local awareness of the initiative. These students are  Antonio Laudisio from San Valentino Torio, Marco Leone from Pagani, Rocco Tedesco from Sant’Egidio del Monte Albino, Martina Saviano from Aversa, and Alessia Musto from Forino.

Thanks to the partnership between  Fondazione Pesenti, Fondazione Giovanni Agnelli, UniCredit Foundation, and Fondazione Intercultura, the recipients will have the opportunity to take part in a highly formative experience abroad — both personally and professionally.

The students were awarded their certificates during a ceremony organized by Fondazione Intercultura and moderated by Giannantonio De Roni, Secretary General of UniCredit Foundation. Among the participants were Stefania Danzi for Fondazione Pesenti, Professor Giorgio Barba Navaretti from the University of Milan, Silvia Cappellini, Head of UniCredit Foundation; Andrea Gavosto, Director and Barbara Romano, researcher at Fondazione Giovanni Agnelli. Representing Intercultura was  Andrea Franzoi, Secretary General.

“Fondazione Pesenti’s collaboration with Intercultura — which has seen us committed for years to supporting younger generations — now expands to a highly significant initiative, promoted alongside two important foundations,” emphasized Sergio Crippa, Secretary General of Fondazione Pesenti. “Our ambition is that the European dimension — which takes on even greater meaning in these times — can become part of the shared experience of students from technical and vocational schools, who in the past have had fewer opportunities to participate in international education programs.”

Departures are scheduled for early September 2022. The experience includes being hosted by a carefully selected local family, attending a local school, and receiving continuous support from a team of volunteers. Intercultura will also provide students with certification of the skills they acquire during each stage of the program.
