On October 25, a meeting with ANAP Confartigianato Bergamo and AIP
On Wednesday, October 25, at 3:30 PM in the “Calegari” Auditorium, via Torretta 12, Bergamo, a meeting will be held on the topic: “Parkinson’s disease: understanding it to face it – Early symptoms, diagnosis, progression, current treatments and future prospects,”
organized by ANAP Bergamo, the National Association of Seniors and Retirees of Confartigianato Imprese Bergamo, promoted by AIP – Italian Parkinson’s Association ONLUS, Bergamo Section, with the support of Fondazione Pesenti.
The event will open with welcome remarks from Giacinto Giambellini, President of Confartigianato Imprese Bergamo; Cecilio Testa, President of ANAP Bergamo; Marco Guido Salvi, Coordinator of the Bergamo branch and National Vice President of AIP – Italian Parkinson’s Association; Marcella Messina, Councillor for Social Policies of the Municipality of Bergamo; and Romina Russo, Provincial Councillor for Social Services and Equal Opportunities.
The event will then proceed with presentations by Dr. Jean Marc Melgari, Head of the Parkinson and Movement Disorders Clinic – Neurology Unit – ASST Bergamo Ovest, who will speak on “Parkinson’s Disease: symptoms, diagnosis, progression over time, current treatments and future outlook – the neurologist’s perspective,” and Dr. Marco Guido Salvi (AIP Bergamo), who will address “The role of the Association in improving the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s disease and their families.”
Fondazione Pesenti has long supported the initiatives of the Italian Parkinson’s Association, Bergamo section, from providing support and connection for patients and families to awareness-raising, social activities, and fundraising for research.
