Fondazione Pesenti’s support for the Giorgio Ambrosoli Civil Association continues in 2025, renewing a partnership that began in 2017 and is based on shared values of responsibility and civic commitment.
This year’s edition, themed “Vision”, celebrates the figures who founded VIDAS: Vision – In memory of Giovanna Cavazzoni and Alberto Malliani.
On November 27, 2025, the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Milan hosted the seventeenth edition of Civil Virtue Day, a national event dedicated to promoting public ethics, individual responsibility, and a sense of service to the community. As every year, the event celebrates those who demonstrate the strength of active citizenship through their daily actions.
The Day was established to honor exemplary stories of civic engagement and takes place in multiple Italian cities — from Palermo to Turin, from Rome to Valdagno — featuring conferences, educational activities, and institutional moments, all with free participation.
Among the various initiatives on the program, the Giorgio Ambrosoli Lecture was held, led by Ferruccio de Bortoli, President of VIDAS, in conversation with Anna Fiscale, Founder and President of Progetto Quid, Stefano Mancuso, neuroscientist, and Franco Vaccari, Founder and President of Rondine Cittadella della Pace. During the evening, two students from Bocconi University were named “Ambrosoli Scholars”, receiving scholarships for the fifteenth consecutive year, and two Study Awards in memory of Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa were presented to students from the University of Milan. The evening was introduced by Umberto Ambrosoli and concluded with the Giorgio Ambrosoli Civil Concert.
