Veronesi Foundation, established in 2003 by Umberto Veronesi along with numerous internationally renowned scientists and intellectuals—including 11 Nobel Prize laureates—promotes excellence in scientific research, prevention, health education, and science communication. Every day, its work reflects the founder’s vision: a physician dedicated to advancing innovative knowledge in service of patients’ well-being and the greater good.
The Foundation supports research through fellowships for scientists and funds high-level national and international projects aimed at developing new cancer treatments. It also collaborates with AIEOP (Italian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology) to finance new treatment protocols specifically for young patients. In addition, it runs prevention campaigns and promotes healthy lifestyles in partnership with schools, public and private institutions, and organizations from the fields of research and communication.
In 2024, Fondazione Pesenti contributed to the fundraising campaign in support of pediatric cancer research, with the goal of improving both life expectancy and quality of life for patients.
