Continuing its commitment to children and adolescents, Fondazione Pesenti has renewed its support for Associazione Amici di Cometa Onlus, an organization that for years has promoted educational and training pathways for minors in vulnerable situations. Among the supported initiatives are Una Casa per Crescere (A Home to Grow) and the Oliver Twist School, both integral parts of the educational complex known as “A City Within the City.”
The Day Center “Una Casa per Crescere” welcomes children and teenagers every day after school, offering a calm and structured environment where they can study, play, and grow, guided by qualified educators and staff. It’s a valuable service for local families, combining academic support, recreational activities, and social interaction.
The Oliver Twist School, founded in Como in 2003, offers a person-centered educational model that emphasizes individual talent and job placement. The school provides programs for students in compulsory education, early school leavers, and adults, with a strong emphasis on hands-on workshops and school-to-work programs.
Active programs include an arts-focused high school with a craft and entrepreneurial approach, vocational training in the woodworking and furniture, restaurant, and textile sectors, as well as special courses designed to help reintegrate young people facing difficulties.
Fondazione Pesenti ETS has shown a consistent and significant commitment to the Amici di Cometa Onlus Association.
In 2020, Fondazione Pesenti began a partnership with Amici di Cometa Onlus, demonstrating a concrete and lasting commitment to supporting children and minors in vulnerable situations. This support made it possible to carry out numerous initiatives aimed at addressing issues of social hardship, with a particular focus on the protection and well-being of young people. Since then, the Foundation has made an annual donation to support the Association’s initiatives.
The projects supported by Amici di Cometa aim primarily to raise awareness and promote cultural activities related to foster care, hospitality, and education.
