The Charity Committee of the Foundation has approved funding for the Papa Giovanni Hospital to support its activity in a situation of serious emergency.
Support has been approved for the initiative “Abitare la cura” (Living the care), aimed at converting some city hotels into hospital residences for the therapeutic isolation of people infected by the virus
This project, promoted by Caritas, Confindustria Bergamo, and Eco di Bergamo, has already established three residential facilities.
The Foundation has also supported Italmobiliare, in collaboration with other Italian companies, for the implementation of a plan to acquire and import 210 ventilators from abroad for the intensive care units of Italian hospitals. Fifty of these treatment systems are destined for Bergamo and, in particular, for the new hospital at the Bergamo Fairgrounds.
