The story of Noemi Guadagni:
from Lovere-Boario to Cleveland Heights, OH (Usa)
for a year, with Intercultura and
the support of the Pesenti Foundation.
1ST QUARTER: SEPTEMBER – NOVEMBER 2018
Relationships with the host family:
My host family is kind to me, but our relationships lack warmth. There is not that sense of family every exchange student yearns for.
Relationships with the host community and friends:
At the beginning, relations with the host community were a bit awkward due to cultural and social differences, but little by little I am building good relationships., especially with other exchange students and former host students.
Inclusion and academic achievement with respect to performance and interactions with teachers and peers:
School inclusion, with respect to academic performance was very good without too much difficulty. Teachers are very professional and helpful. There are many students, but many of them are very unfriendly and slackers.
Extracurricular activities:
I started playing tennis and other school sport club activities.
Three beautiful things I will never forget:
Ruby and Mia’s emergency family, my sister Mia, the lemon square, Ohio people’s passion for sports.
Three nasty things I will never forget:
The sense of family that sometimes lacks, homesickness, some students’ behavior.
