ROSY BINDI TALKING ABOUT THE GREATNESS OF TINA ANSELMI FOR MANY FAITHS 2017

Monday, December 4, 2017 – Rosy Bindi, President of the Italian parliamentary Anti-mafia Commission , participates in the  “Many Faiths under the Same Sky” Festival with a talk titled “Tina Anselmi – The Mother of Democracy”, at the Gamma Hall Auditorium of Torre Boldone.

Tina Anselmi was a member of the Italian resistance movement during World War II and a trade unionist. A key player in the political and institutional arena, she was the first female minister in Italy. Tina Anselmi wrote an important page in the history of the Italian Democracy and Republic. She headed the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the illegal P2 Masonic Lodge , one of the few Italian Parliamentary Commissions to fulfil its political mandate successfully. in our parliamentary history that came to an end and well, linked its name also to the reform that introduced the National Health Service in Italy. She also played a significant role in the introduction of Italy’s National Health Service.

 

Rosy Bindi is an Italian politician, who like Tina Anselmi, has always been dynamically involved as a parliamentarian and as a woman in the Italian institutional and political life. Regardless of any political rumors, she has always been open to any constructive criticism, particularly on specific ethical issues. In 2013 she was elected President of the parliamentary Anti-mafia Commission.
