The historic collaboration between Fondazione Pesenti and the International Piano Festival of Brescia and Bergamo continues.

The 2017 program features a cycle of 27 concerts, held between the theaters of Bergamo and Brescia, with music by Beethoven, Schubert, Rachmaninov, Schumann, and others. It includes performances by leading international artists and a significant presence of the Festival Philharmonic Orchestra, mainly composed of young musicians. The orchestra has already earned acclaim, most recently with great success at the Royal Opera House in Muscat, Oman, on January 11.
In addition to the concerts, the program includes collaborations with the Conservatories of Brescia and Bergamo (notably this year’s 8 concerts featuring young talents from the Bergamo Conservatory performing Beethoven’s 32 Piano Sonatas), the launch of a new prize competition for students linked to the festival’s theme and organized in collaboration with major local cultural institutions and associations (Mai Library, Historical Museum, Carrara Academy, Gaetano Donizetti Conservatory, Book Fair), as well as the second edition of the “Festival and Surroundings” project involving their respective provincial territories.
