Carlo Pesenti (1907–1984) was one of the leading industrial and financial figures in post-war Italy.
The son of Augusto—one of the six Pesenti brothers who founded the company “Fratelli Pesenti fu Antonio”—Carlo represented the third generation in the entrepreneurial history of the Pesenti family.
He graduated in Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and was awarded the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro (Order of Merit for Labour) in 1962.
Carlo Pesenti joined the Board of Directors of Italcementi in 1940. In 1942, he was appointed General Manager and CEO, and in 1967, he also assumed the role of Chairman.
In 1946, he reorganized the group by consolidating construction materials operations under Italcementi, while placing diversified activities and equity investments in numerous financial companies under Italmobiliare.
