Freedom, justice, and participation were the central themes of the first meeting of “The Culture of Peace”, featuring Tawakkol Karman and Samia Nkrumah as guests at gres art 671.
Tawakkol Karman, Nobel Peace Prize laureate, is an activist and founder of the organization Women Journalists Without Chains. She is widely known as the “mother of the Yemeni revolution.” Samia Nkrumah, daughter of the first president of independent Ghana, is one of the most prominent voices in Africa for civil rights, cultural sovereignty, and African integration. Two women, two continents, one shared vision: to build peace where there is conflict, remembrance where there is erasure, and action where there is silence.
An intense dialogue, interwoven with personal stories and political commitment, offering deep insights into what it means to build peace today through memory, activism, and collective responsibility.
