Fondazione Pesenti supports the 66th edition of the Bergamo Book Fair

In 2025, the Pesenti Foundation is supporting the traditional Bergamo Book Fair, which, now in its 66th edition, stands out for its cultural value and deep connection to the social fabric of the Bergamo area.

The 2025 edition, taking place between late April and early May, will offer—thanks to the artistic direction of Prof. Daniele Rocchetti—a rich and stimulating program of author events, also hosted at gres art 671, as well as the “Booksellers for a Year” series, which runs throughout 2025 and includes several events in collaboration with Fondazione Pesenti.

The fair has been further enhanced by the “Booksellers for a Year” project, an initiative designed to extend the cultural calendar beyond the main event, with author meetups and events held both in the months leading up to and following the fair. This creates an ongoing opportunity for cultural enrichment and engagement.

The collaboration between the Pesenti Foundation and the Bergamo Book Fair is a testament to the Foundation’s commitment to supporting cultural, artistic, and recreational initiatives that bring long-term value to the region’s growth and vibrancy.

Events at gres art 671

Alessandro Barbero – “Guerra, pace, imperi” (“War, peace, empires”)

The event “Guerra, pace, imperi”, a dialogue between historian and writer Alessandro Barbero and journalist Oliviero Bergamini, drew more than 800 attendees to gres art 671. This event, organized by the Bergamo Book Fair in partnership with the Pesenti Foundation, also served as a preview of the public program linked to the exhibition “de bello. notes on war and peace”. It marked the beginning of a series of events focused on the theme of peace.

Anna Zafesova at gres art 671

Anna Zafesova, a Russian journalist with Italian citizenship who lived in Moscow while working as a correspondent for La Stampa, presented her essay on Saint Petersburg. Her talk highlighted how today’s conflicts have deep historical roots — a theme that ties directly into the exhibition de bello. notes on war and peace currently on display at gres art 671.

Mario Calabresi – “Alzarsi all’alba” (“to wake up at down”)

At gres art 671, Mario Calabresi, journalist and writer, who also directs the podcast company Chora Media, of which he is one of the founders, presented his new book. The author guided the audience to rediscover the value of time, patience, perseverance, and effort not as a choice but as an extreme act of love.

The event is part of the “Librai per un Anno” (“Booksellers for a Year”) project, in collaboration with Fiera Librai and Fondazione Pesenti.
