Among the initiatives promoted by Fondazione Pesenti ETS is its support for the San Patrignano Community, which received significant backing in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
For over 40 years, San Patrignano has been welcoming young men and women struggling with addiction—completely free of charge and without any financial contribution required from their families. The community’s mission is to help these individuals reclaim their lives through a path of recovery that includes the development of practical skills and knowledge useful for their future.
In 2020, the Foundation supported the construction of a new production facility within the community, which includes a dairy, a bakery, and a charcuterie workshop. The goal of this project was to make San Patrignano economically independent and sustainable, while providing its residents with professional skills to prepare them for life beyond the community. The Foundation allocated €50,000 to this project, reaffirming its commitment to supporting people in difficulty.
In 2021 and 2022, the Foundation continued its support with two additional donations. These funds were used to cover operating expenses, with a particular focus on vocational training programs and rising energy costs.
The Foundation’s ongoing support has helped ensure that San Patrignano can continue its vital mission of recovery and empowerment for young people facing serious challenges.
