Fondazione Pesenti has long supported the initiatives of the association “Il Telaio della Missione”, which raises funds to support projects aimed at helping people in vulnerable situations.
Over the years, the Foundation has shown its ongoing commitment to the “Solidarity Panettone” initiative, which involves the sale of panettoni (traditional Italian Christmas cakes), with proceeds going to projects focused on solidarity and the protection of life. The Foundation has also purchased panettoni to donate to families in need, soup kitchens, parish charity groups, and prisons.
The Foundation’s continued participation in this initiative reflects its dedication to supporting solidarity-based projects and contributing to the well-being of local communities.
In 2021, funds raised were donated to:
Cuore Batticuore Association, for a project on training and raising awareness about heart disease prevention;
The renovation of the liturgical and reception space of the Monastery of the Poor Clares in Boccaleone;
The work of the Istituto delle Piccole Apostole in Ecuador, assisting families affected by COVID-19.
In 2022, the funds supported:
Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, the Papal Almoner, in his aid projects for children and the elderly in Ukraine,
Other initiatives aimed at addressing hardship and promoting employment opportunities.
In 2023, alongside continued support for the “Solidarity Panettone”, the Foundation once again backed the efforts of Cardinal Krajewski, who was repeatedly sent to Ukraine on humanitarian missions.
The second project supported the creation of job opportunities through family-run textile activities in Albania.
The third project resulted from a collaboration with the “Association for Neonatal Assistance”, based at Pope John XXIII Hospital, to support the maternal, infant, and pediatric department by funding the purchase of one or more ventilation support devices for newborns, especially premature babies with respiratory difficulties.
In 2024, the Foundation renewed its support by participating in the Christmas initiative “Panettone della Solidarietà” (Panettone for Solidarity).
