“Great Shows for Little Ones” – Teatro alla Scala

Fondazione Pesenti, in collaboration with the Italmobiliare Group, continues to support Teatro alla Scala’s project “Great Shows for Little Ones” promoting — even in such a complex context — the enhancement of Italian culture worldwide. This is achieved through streamed performances of operas and classic works of musical literature for children, paired with pieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and featuring well-known personalities from the theatre, radio, and television as narrating voices, introduced by host Nicola Savino.

Among this year’s featured titles: “Peter and the Wolf” by Prokofiev, narrated by the popular comedy trio Aldo, Giovanni, and Giacomo, and “The Carnival of the Animals” by Saint-Saëns, with comedian Gioele Dix as the narrator.

To date, over 200,000 children have attended tailor-made productions of classical masterpieces, including:
Rossini’s “La Cenerentola”
Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”
Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker”
Mozart’s “The Abduction from the Seraglio”
Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville”
and Donizetti’s “The Elixir of Love”

The promotion and dissemination of innovative programs designed to develop ideas, projects, and initiatives with positive social and cultural impact is part of the Foundation’s ongoing mission, with a special focus on younger generations.
