Fondazione Pesenti supports the Mission in Togo by Luconlus and Cuori Grandi Onlus
Fondazione Pesenti supports the mission in Togo carried out by Luconlus and Cuori Grandi Onlus, participating in the project of building a school in the village of Amakpapè, to offer a space for children eager for knowledge.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school had to hire 8 additional teachers to maintain a teacher-to-student ratio in compliance with health regulations and to better manage teaching within each classroom.
“A School for Don Aldo” is an institution dedicated to the memory of the historic principal of San Carlo High School, Don Aldo Geranzani, to honor him with a program inspired by the idea of school he envisioned: open, able to value every student without limiting them; intercultural, so that children of different faiths can find together in study and play a fertile ground for dialogue; innovative, combining the study of both humanities and sciences.
Practically, for the Togolese school, the project has meant the installation of running water, functioning sanitation facilities, solar panels for energy, and a computer lab.
