During the most intense period of the Covid-19 pandemic, Fondazione Pesenti —together with its Board of Directors and the Charity Committee—reshaped its activities to intervene and provide concrete support to the most affected areas, involving and facilitating the contributions of Italmobiliare and the Group’s portfolio companies.
This commitment—particularly that of the Charity Committee—has now been formally recognized through the awarding of honorary citizenship to Giampiero Pesenti (one of the three members of the Charity Committee during the 2019–2022 term) by the municipality of Valbondione, in acknowledgment of the help provided to the local community.
During the honorary citizenship ceremony, which took place during the most recent meeting of the City Council and was approved unanimously, Mayor Romina Riccardi stated:
“We decided to award honorary citizenship because, during the darkest period of the pandemic, they spontaneously donated significant financial aid to our community, which was then used to support individuals and families in need.”
