The initiative is aimed at high-achieving students living in Campania, Lombardy, and Piedmont for three-month programs in Flanders (Belgium), France, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, and Hungary.
Milan, October 11, 2022 – Fondazione Giovanni Agnelli, Fondazione Cav. Lav. Pesenti e UniCredit Foundation confirm once again this year their important partnership with Fondazione Intercultura through the project “A Scuola in Europa,” aimed at deserving students from Technical and Vocational Institutes in Campania, Lombardy, and Piedmont.
In an increasingly globalized world, the ability to engage with different cultures is becoming ever more important. This need is particularly felt by the three Foundations, which have decided to support the project again as an important educational opportunity for the future of new generations and to promote dialogue between cultures and international youth exchanges.

Thanks to their collaboration, Fondazione Intercultura has reserved 15 scholarships for as many fully-funded three-month programs in Flanders (Belgium), France, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, and Hungary. Eligible candidates are high-achieving students residing in Campania, Lombardy, and Piedmont with an ISEE (equivalent economic situation indicator) up to €32,000. Applicants must have been born between January 1, 2005, and August 31, 2008, and be enrolled in third-year classes at:
Technical Institutes in the following fields:

Vocational Institutes in the following fields:

Results will be announced by February 2023 For further information, you can contact: borsedistudio@intercultura.it.
Departures are scheduled for summer 2023. The experience abroad includes staying with carefully selected host families, attending local schools, and is closely supported by a group of local volunteers. Participants will receive certification from Intercultura for the skills acquired at each stage of the program.

Roberto Ruffino, Secretary-General of Fondazione Intercultura: “We are particularly proud to contribute to the international and intercultural education of students from technical and vocational schools thanks to the partnership between Fondazione Giovanni Agnelli, Fondazione Cav. Lav. Pesenti, UniCredit Foundation, and Fondazione Intercultura. The 13 students currently spending their trimester abroad are sharing with our volunteers in Lombardy, Piedmont, and Campania the great process of growth and change they are experiencing, welcomed at the heart of the host society as children and students within families and schools. These young people will contribute to the social capital of our country and will make it increasingly competitive among European nations.”
“Fondazione Pesenti strongly believes in the importance of international mobility programs aimed at new generations, and we are therefore pleased to renew our support for Intercultura’s ‘A Scuola in Europa’ project, which last year allowed us to meet extraordinary young people ready to build their future in Europe Sergio Crippa, Secretary-General of Fondazione Cav. Lav. Pesenti, states. “Awareness of the European dimension—through the exchange of cultures, experiences, and values—is a precious added value during the educational journey. This initiative, with two prestigious partners like Fondazione Agnelli and UniCredit Foundation, is even more effective because it is dedicated to students from technical and vocational schools, giving them equal opportunities for study periods abroad, comparable to those of students attending high schools.”
Silvia Cappellini, Secretary-General of UniCredit Foundation:
“For UniCredit Foundation, investing in young people and their education is fundamental, so that new generations can fully express their potential, ensuring growth and development for society as a whole. That is why we are pleased to renew our commitment to the ‘A Scuola in Europa’ initiative, which also offers students from technical institutes the opportunity to enrich their studies with important experiences abroad, essential for their personal and professional growth.”
Andrea Gavosto, Director of Fondazione Agnelli: “This is an innovative project realized together with prestigious partners who are strongly motivated to do their part to improve the quality of education in our country. Fondazione Agnelli enthusiastically renews its participation: the opportunity for selected students to study and live in another country not only enriches them culturally and skill-wise for the future but also sends an important message—especially amid recent international tensions—towards a shared idea of European education and citizenship, with increasingly convergent school models.”

Intercultura
The collaboration between Fondazione Pesenti and Intercultura began 13 years ago and has so far allowed about 50 students to spend time abroad in countries that differ culturally and educationally, based on the belief that the exchange of cultures, experiences, and values is the most significant educational experience possible for any young person.
