Fondazione Pesenti, strengthening its collaboration with the University of Bergamo, also supports this year’s Start Cup Bergamo, an opportunity to promote entrepreneurial ideas of the new generations, particularly projects originating from Bergamo 2.035, an initiative that for several years has seen the Foundation alongside the University of Bergamo and Harvard University – Graduate School of Design.
In particular, a special “Fondazione Pesenti” award will be given to the project—evaluated by a jury of experts in impact investing—that can best positively influence the social dynamics of the territory.
Start Cup Bergamo is the entrepreneurial training path of the University of Bergamo that allows students and aspiring entrepreneurs to transform into successful startuppers. The project also aims to strengthen the relationship between the University of Bergamo and the local economic-industrial fabric by enhancing research valorization and technology transfer activities.
This year’s numbers:
- 59 startuppers
- 22 business ideas
- 19 projects promoted by students of the University of Bergamo, of which 2 are proposed by teams born within Bergamo 2.035
- 3 projects originated from the entrepreneurial training path HC.LAB, one of which is proposed by a group of high school seniors from ITIS Marconi of Dalmine.
The University and Fondazione Pesenti, through Start Cup, intend to concretely support young talents by valuing their inventive potential and entrepreneurial spirit so that they can become a driving force for the creation and growth of new enterprises with high innovation and development potential. Beyond awarding the Special Prize, Fondazione Pesenti will also participate in the informational path, meeting participants twice to discuss what it means to operate as a Foundation in the territory and the role of impact investing in the new dynamics of the Third Sector.
