In 2023, Fondazione Pesenti supported two important initiatives of the Institute of the Dominican Sisters of the Holy Rosary of Melegnano, reaffirming its commitment to promoting education and the well-being of young people in challenging environments.
A donation was allocated to support the Residentia Estudiantil project, a facility located 4,000 meters above sea level on the Bolivian Andes plateau (Tujsuma), which provides accommodation for 75 boys and girls aged between 6 and 18 who attend the only available school in the area.
The other project supported by the Foundation with a €13,000 donation is located in Côte d’Ivoire: in the city of Zouan-Hounien, the Foyer Saint Dominique hosts up to 50 adolescent girls attending middle and high school. The Foyer offers the girls a safe place to live and study, sparing them long and dangerous journeys to reach school. The facility provides food, accommodation, educational support, and a peaceful environment in which to focus on their studies.
