September 8 – Will We Say I or We? Paths to Cross the Night , is the title of the new edition of Molte Fedi sotto lo stesso cielo (Many Faiths under the Same Sky). Once again this year, Fondazione Pesenti joins the supporters of this annual event, a series of meetings promoted by Acli Bergamo APS that address themes of religious pluralism and peace. The initiative takes place under the patronage of the Municipality and Province of Bergamo, the University of Bergamo, the UNESCO Chair on Religious Pluralism and Peace, and in collaboration with numerous local groups and associations.
It is an opportunity to reflect on the risks and opportunities of this historical moment of pandemic crisis, in which “There is a strong temptation to seek individual salvation, with the risk that ‘every man for himself’ turns into ‘everyone against everyone,’ while Pope Francis reminds us that ‘we are all in the same boat, and we will only be saved together.’ – Now more than ever, it is necessary – “to bet on the possibility for humanity to resist the temptation to close in on itself and instead to consider itself part of a single humanity, sharing the same Earth, which is a common good.”
From September 8 to December 3, numerous in-person and remote events will take place, featuring esteemed guests and prominent figures from various arts and disciplines, alternating with readings, music, performances, guided tours, dinners, and moments of reflection and prayer. The opening events will feature Narratives by David Sassoli and Nando Pagnoncelli (September 9) and Alessandro D’Avenia (September 10). Among the anticipated guests are: Lella Costa, Erri De Luca, Iman Sabbah, Gianrico Carofiglio, Edith Bruck, Christoph Theobald, Benedetta Tobagi.
