Vittoria is telling us, month by month, about her experience abroad, thanks to the year-long Intercultura program in Germany.
Relationship with the host family:
I get along well with my host family. We have had a few disagreements due to our personalities, but we resolved them quickly. During these three months, we have not done many activities together, but there are still moments when we have fun.
Relationship with the host community and friends:
As for my relationship with my friends, everything is going great. We often go out, go to the beach, and take part in what the city has to offer. We also went to a protest for environmental protection.
Integration and school performance, both in terms of academic results and personal relationships with teachers and students:
At school I get along fairly well with my classmates, with whom I sometimes go out, and the teachers are very open to dialogue and willing to help me. My overall performance is good. During this period we have had few tests.
Extracurricular activities:
I go to the gym three times a week, hang out with my friends, read, and study German, Spanish, and English.
The 3 things I will never forget (positive):
My friends.
What it’s like to live by the sea and be able to go to the beach whenever you want.
Independence.
The 3 things I will never forget (negative, if any):
The cold winter.
The coldness of the Germans.
