An important recognition for the commitment of the “Cav. Lav. Carlo Pesenti” Foundation in training new logistics researchers and managers.
The Foundation has been supporting post-graduate excellence since 2007, significantly funding scholarships for a PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The aim is to strengthen existing skills and establish a center of excellence at the University of Bergamo.
November 12, 2010 – This morning, during the conference organized by Assologistica (Italian Association of Logistics Companies) at Malpensa Airport, the Foundation received the Logistics Award of the Year, now in its sixth edition.
This is the only public recognition in Italy in the logistics field, aimed at managers, companies, and academics who have significantly contributed to improving Italian freight logistics, with commitment in research, innovation, and training.
Bocconi University and MIT
The scientific validity and teaching excellence of the initiative, coordinated by Prof. Angelo Renoldi, professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Bergamo, are also guaranteed by agreements signed with Bocconi University of Milan and the MIT-Zaragoza Logistics Center, the European partner of the prestigious MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in Boston.
Bocconi University contributes to the development and organization of the doctoral program through the participation of its professors in the teaching board, the strategic steering committee, and through the delivery of teaching activities.

The MIT-Zaragoza Logistics Center directly contributes to the teaching and research activities promoted within the doctoral course, hosting PhD students for a full semester and guiding their research projects. It also facilitates the involvement of professors and young researchers from the University of Bergamo in activities carried out by the international MIT network.
