The Foundation is taking part in the activities of BergamoScienza, held in Bergamo, as a way to demonstrate its commitment to the environment and innovation.
BergamoScienza is one of the first events in Italy created to promote scientific outreach, with the aim of encouraging interaction between those working in science and young people.
Scientists and citizens are brought together through an inseparable blend of culture and entertainment to promote scientific knowledge. Guided tours of Italcementi laboratories explain, among other things, how the use of new photocatalytic cements—an innovation of the company—contributes effectively to improving quality of life.
Creating a new culture of science communication in a language accessible to all can “educate,” especially young people, about the work of companies in the area whose expertise and know-how are geared toward innovation.
