The annual conference of the Fondazione Cav. Lav. Carlo Pesenti on virtuous models of interaction between institutions, universities, and enterprises in the introduction and promotion of technological innovations derived from scientific research.
Bergamo, December 6, 2006 – Fondazione Cav Lav. Carlo Pesenti commissioned IReR to conduct a comparative study across major OECD countries on virtuous models of interaction between institutions, universities, and enterprises in the introduction and promotion of technological innovations derived from scientific research.
A fundamental contribution to the analysis was provided by authoritative international institutes. The presentation of the study serves as an important reference point for a roundtable discussion among institutions, academia, and enterprises on possible future initiatives for growth and strengthening of research. The meeting was an opportunity for dialogue and planning regarding the Italian situation in the process of generating and spreading innovation as a strategic element for the competitiveness of companies in our country.
The study was presented by Prof. Roberto Verganti, director of the Alta Scuola of Politecnico di Milano/Torino and coordinator of the research, and sparked a debate among representatives of institutions, such as the Minister for Reforms and Innovations in Public Administration Luigi Nicolais; academia, represented by Prof. Adriano De Maio; and businesses, represented by Alberto Bombassei, President of Brembo and Vice President of Confindustria ; Andrea Moltrasio, entrepreneur and President of the Europe Technical Committee of Confindustria; and Ezio Andreta, President of APRE (Agency for the Promotion of European Research).
