The City of Bergamo was chosen by the European Commission as the meeting venue for the Forum “Empower – The European Civil Society.”
The Forum, which saw participation from representatives of civil society from the 25 Member States as well as Bulgaria and Romania, Vice-President of the Commission Margot Wallström, President of the European Parliament Josep Borrell Fontelles, European parliamentarians, and leading speakers, helped give the City of Bergamo visibility at a European, if not global, level.
